The IGNITE Pitch Day - We Came First Runner up.
As part of a collaborative innovation challenge, my team developed BUILDEnt. A youth-centered framework designed to create visible, connected pathways into entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation for South Shore youth.
Our goal was to address a critical gap: many young people have talent and ambition but lack access to structured opportunities, mentorship, and relatable role models. BUILDEnt was designed as a sustainable ecosystem where youth can:
• Learn through hands-on entrepreneurial and leadership development
• Work on real community and innovation-driven projects
• Lead by becoming trainers and mentors for the next generation of youth
The framework emphasizes confidence-building, ownership, peer-to-peer learning, and long-term community impact. Rather than creating a one-time program, we focused on building a cycle of empowerment where participants grow into future leaders who continue strengthening the ecosystem.
This experience deepened my understanding of social innovation, community-centered design, and the importance of creating scalable systems that empower people beyond traditional education pathways.
